The wine has a rich garnet-purple color. The incredibly beautiful, complex aroma of the wine is filled with mesmerizing shades of black currant and juicy cherry, which are intertwined with nuances of tobacco smoke, truffle, spring flowers, pepper, new leather and graphite. The rich, surprisingly refined taste of the wine has a charmingly smooth texture. Its tannins are soft, but at the same time provide the structure necessary for long aging and development. A magnificent core of notes of black fruits and berries is surrounded by shades of chocolate, tar, pepper, anise and earth, maintaining all its splendor in a long aftertaste. Chateau Giscours is the main wine of the estate of the same name. The age of the vines is on average 35 years. The soil of the vineyards is sand and gravel, through which the roots penetrate deep into the ground. In the production of wine, manual harvesting and careful selection of grapes are used. Wine fermentation occurs in stainless steel and concrete vats at a temperature of 28-30 ° C for 18-24 days. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is poured into oak barrels, half of which are new, for aging. The wine is aged for 18 months; before bottling, the wine is clarified using egg white.
