The generous, luxurious aroma of the wine reveals hints of ripe dark fruits, spices, balsamic and herbs. The wine intrigues with its generous, rich, rounded taste with a silky texture, fruity and spicy accents, perfectly balanced acidity and fine-grained tannins in a long finish. Highland Cellars, “Koor” Reserve Red – dry red wine made from traditional autochthonous Armenian grape varieties – Areni and Lilac. The grapes are grown in the Vayots Dzor region on a unique soil combining volcanic sedimentary rocks and limestone. The Areni variety gives the wine elegance, subtlety and fruitiness. Areni is well balanced with the more tannic Lilac grapes, which give the wine a firm structure. In wine production, after vinification at a controlled temperature, aging in oak barrels is carried out for 18 months. The subsequent six-month aging is carried out in a bottle.
