Description
Karas Single Vineyard Chardonnay is a pure, refined Chardonnay with the distinct character of the Ararat Valley terroir. The palate is smooth, full-bodied, and well-balanced. It features a fruity, floral core, subtle nutty nuances, and a smooth, lingering finish without heaviness. The acidity is restrained, the structure is smooth, and the wine is easy to drink without being empty. The aroma is harmonious and generous: ripe stone fruits, a touch of nut, vanilla, and floral notes. Everything is clean, without harshness or oak overload. The color is straw-golden, with light greenish hues. This Chardonnay wine is from a single vineyard at the foot of Mount Ararat. Volcanic soil—basalt, tuff, and limestone—provides good structure and expressiveness. Hand-picked, fermentation: 30% in oak, 70% in steel. Aged for six months in Armenian and French oak. The style is clear, gastronomic, and has a Caucasian character. An excellent pairing with fish, poultry, creamy spreads, and soft cheeses.
