Description
Scalabrone Bolgheri Rosato DOC 2024 is a lively, energetic Tuscan rosé with a maritime character. Its color is delicate and pure, the hue of peony petals. The palate immediately reveals freshness and crisp acidity, with notes of red berries—strawberry, raspberry, and currant—and a touch of minerality. The finish is dry, slightly salty, and very refreshing. The texture is denser than that of standard rosés, yet the wine remains light and airy. The aroma reveals fresh berries, light herbal and citrus notes, and a subtle touch of sea salt. Everything is clean, juicy, and not overpowering. This rosé works well as an aperitif and is also ideal with seafood, grilled salmon, pasta with artichokes and Parmesan, risotto, and light meat dishes of Tuscan cuisine. This wine is made at the Guado al Tasso estate in Bolgheri. Alluvial and maritime soils impart minerality and that distinctive salty note. The proximity of the Tyrrhenian Sea and constant breezes preserve the acidity and freshness even in hot weather. A versatile, gastronomic rosé for summer, the terrace, and informal dinners.
