Description

Chateau Citran is an excellent wine made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, hand-picked from 25-year-old vines. Fermentation lasts 3 weeks and is carried out at controlled temperatures in stainless steel containers. Then the wine is aged for 12 months in oak barrels, of which 40% are new. Chateau Citrand is without a doubt a significant producer of Cru Bourgeois O’Médoc wines. The main part of the vineyards of Chateau Citran grows on sand and gravel soils with marl and limestone subsoil. 90 hectares of vineyards are divided between two grape varieties: 58% Cabernet Sauvignon vines are used, 42% Merlot.
