The wine boasts a rich purple-red color. It possesses a saturated aroma with expressive tones of dark berries adorned with seductively elegant spicy nuances. The wine stands out with its intense, velvety, pure taste featuring berry-spicy accents, well-integrated tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, pleasant aftertaste. “Karas” Malbec is a red dry wine from the classic “Karas” lineup, with high-quality wines that originate from vineyards located in the shadow of the sacred Mount Ararat. They continue the 6200-year winemaking heritage of the Armavir region, which has long maximized the use of its unique volcanic terroir.
The grapes for crafting “Karas” Malbec are cultivated in the conditions of a mountainous continental climate, on dense rocky volcanic soil composed of basalt, volcanic tuff, and limestone. The harvest is manually collected, carefully sorted, and gently pressed. During vinification, cold pre-fermentation maceration is initially conducted, followed by alcoholic fermentation for 20 days in stainless steel tanks at 26-28 °C, and malolactic fermentation.
