Description
Bouchard Pere et Fils, Meursault is an aromatic white wine with a fine, lively taste. Exceptional white wines have been produced in Meursault since the Cistercian era. The formation of the Meursault terroir dates back to 1098, the year of the foundation of the famous Cistercian monastery, whose monks planted the first vineyards here. The soil of the Meursault appellation is exceptionally diverse. Thus, in one region, you can see different terroirs. Chardonnay for wine production is hand-picked in small boxes, strictly sorted and pressed in two stages. Depending on the harvest, the wine after fermentation is aged for 10 to 12 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which are new. Bouchard Père et Fils Meursault has good ageing potential and will develop beautifully in the bottle for many years. The palate is clean, subtle but lively, with apple and lemon notes, hints of sweet baking spices, butter nuances and a taut, long, resonant finish. Very fragrant, the wine’s intense aroma is filled with floral and fruity notes.
