Description
The wine is deep ruby color, with expressive aromas of cherries, wild berries, violets and spices. The taste is full-bodied, rounded, with soft tannins. Vinification occurs after soft pressing of the grapes. Maceration for 10-14 days for more complete extraction of color and polyphenolic substances. The Poggio Civetta Chianti Classico combines the modern Farnese group wine style with the flavors and structure of Chianti, creating a rather soft Sangiovese, but it’s drier than the southern Italian wines of the company Fantini / Farnese. 90% Sangiovese, 5% Canaiolo and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon are used, the wine is aged for 9 months in barrels of various sizes before being bottled. An ideal wine for those who are looking for a charming Chianti, providing a lot of drinking pleasure in its youth.
