The wine exhibits a balanced, refreshing taste with a smooth texture, fruity and citrus accents and lively acidity in a clean finish. Arthur Metz, Riesling, Alsace AOP is made from the grape variety of the same name from a site located between the Vosges and the Alsace plain. The glacial activity that created the mountains also significantly affected the region’s topography and soil. They range from sandstone, granite and volcanic rocks in the foothills to clay-rich limestone and marl on the alluvial plains below. The grapes are harvested at full ripeness. Alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperatures lasts from 1 to 2 weeks. The wine is then clarified, filtered and bottled. The storage potential of wine is 2-3 years.
