Description
The delicate aroma of the wine is filled with multifaceted shades of red berries and wildflowers. The wine intrigues with its fresh, refined, lively, pleasant taste with notes of strawberry, red currant, barberry and raspberry, harmonious acidity and a long, elegant finish with nuances of silicon. “Ariats” Areni is an exquisite dry rose wine, which is made from the autochthonous Areni grape variety, grown in the vineyards of Aghavnadzor in the Vayots Dzor region. The vineyards are located near a cave where the world’s oldest winery, over 6,000 years old, was discovered. After picking, the berries are subjected to vinification using the “saignee” (“bloodletting”) method, which includes a very short maceration on the skins for 4-6 hours with the separation of juice, which flows out randomly. The color of wine produced by this method is brighter and more saturated, and the taste is richer and more complex. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 15 ° C in steel vats.
