Description

The wine has a golden-straw color with an attractive sheen. In the elegant aroma of the wine, akin to a symphony, notes of tropical fruits, juicy citrus, minerals, and herbs are harmoniously woven together. The wine possesses a harmonious, well-balanced, refined taste with fruity-mineral accents, refreshing acidity, and an enticing aftertaste.

“Koor” White is a dry white wine made from Voskeat grapes cultivated in the Vayots Dzor region. This indigenous Armenian variety has a centuries-old history. Voskeat, translated as “golden grain,” is considered the queen of Armenian grapes. This variety is challenging to grow due to its susceptibility to diseases, but after a successful harvest, Voskeat offers a captivating, rich, and multifaceted aromatic bouquet. The name of the wine pays homage to Armenian river and wine craftsmanship. The wine label features a scene from the book “Histories” by the Greek historian Herodotus (Chapter 194). It illustrates how Armenian merchants traveled from Armenia to Babylon along the Euphrates River in boats made of wood and animal skins, with barrels made of palm wood filled with wine. These boats were called “kur” (or “koor”).
